BirTravel
Kapital Bank · Birbank app · 2026 · Case study
BirTravel lets Birbank customers book flights without leaving the banking app. I designed the end-to-end flow: search and fare choice, passengers, booking and payment, My Trips, and the push notifications around a trip.
01Overview
A travel product inside a bank app
Flights are booked in one sitting but paid, tracked and used over days. The design follows that whole span: a booking can be held and paid later, its timer shows on the search screen and in My Trips, and the tickets live in the app afterwards as PDFs that can be shared.
Because it sits inside Birbank, it can lean on what the bank already knows. The customer's own details come from their Bir Profile, so they only add what's missing, and payment ends with the cashback the card earned.
02What I designed
Five flows, each annotated for engineering
- SearchResults and fare choice
Results flag the cheapest and fastest options and filter by baggage, direct and transit. Before passengers, the order screen shows every leg, transit warnings and the fare plans side by side.
- PassengersBir Profile first
The customer appears as "This is you", prefilled from their profile, with a warning when passport details are still missing. Saved passengers, new passengers and children each have their own case.
- BookingReview with a live hold timer
The review shows the full itinerary, fare rules per leg and passengers, with the time left on the reservation in the corner. Going back offers to cancel the booking.
- My TripsEvery booking in one list
Cards show what's next: pay, share tickets, processing or refunded. A card opens the booking or the PDF ticket; unpaid bookings cancel themselves when time runs out.
- PushNotifications around the trip
Tickets ready (single and multiple), payment due before the hold expires, and a reminder a day before the flight.
03Screens
From search to the day before the flight

- Confirm the product is called BirTravel publicly.
- Confirm what Kapital Bank allows you to show; tickets in the flow come from Pasha Travel according to your annotations.
- Names, prices and route data in the screens are design data, and some strings are still template placeholders.
- Confirm whether this shipped as shown.
